We are a group of young people who want to be changed by God so that we can change the world. This is the mission: to seek Him with all of our hearts, to be set on fire for Him, to grow stronger in our walk with Him, and to reach those who are being oppressed by the powers of darkness.
This group is for young people, but it is also led by young people. We want to see our generation rise up from the complacency we have fallen into. We want to shine like the stars in this crooked and perverse generation, holding fast to the Word of Life. (Philippians 2:15-16)
Generation Jacob’s meetings are held at Rhema Covenant Church, but we are not a ministry of Rhema Covenant Church. We welcome youth of all denominations and Christian backgrounds. We want to see the Bride of Christ unified through our ministry.
Why “Generation Jacob“?
The name Generation Jacob was inspired by Psalm 24:6, “This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face.” We want to see our generation become the generation of Jacob: earnestly seeking the Lord, stirring ourselves up to take hold of Him (Isaiah 64:7), and not letting go. We want to be so stubborn in our pursuit of Jesus, that we will cling to Him till the very end. It was after Jacob wrestled with God that God changed him. In the same way, we want to be changed by God, because it is only after we encounter Him that we can change the world.
